It's pretty well-known that Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is a huge fan of Ohio sports. The Akron native has gone on record multiple times to support nearly every Ohio sports team. With the Ohio State Buckeyes sealing a huge win over the Utah Utes in the Rose Bowl, LeBron James was ecstatic.

LeBron's love for Ohio sports cannot be understated. Growing up in Akron, the Lakers star has always had a soft spot for the sports community there. He's a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns, even cheering them on earlier this year when they took a huge lead over Super Bowl finalists Kansas City. There was plenty to like from the Buckeyes performance, too! Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba had a receiving performance for the ages, setting records left and right and almost finishing the game with an almost game-winning reception. Heisman Trophy finalist C.J Stroud also played his part in Ohio State's comeback win, making the Lakers star proud with his timely passes.
Unfortunately for LeBron, the Lakers haven't had many wins like Ohio State's Rose Bowl victory this season. Injuries to key players, COVID outbreaks, and a failure to gel together as a team have contributed to the Lakers' lackluster season. Considering the fact that this team was a favorite to win it all, a sub-.500 record is the worst-case scenario for them.
There's still plenty of time to turn things around, though. LeBron James and the Lakers have more than half of the season to prove that they are indeed a true Finals contender. Maybe the Rose Bowl win inspires LeBron even more than he already is at this point, who knows?
