Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James took to Twitter to congratulate head coach Andy Reid after guiding the Kansas City Chiefs to Super Bowl glory.

It was Reid's first Super Bowl championship, and LeBron made it known how ecstatic he is for the achievement.

Down 21-10 midway through the game's final quarter, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs clawed their way back and scored 21 unanswered points to secure the win.

Super Bowl LIV marks Reid's first victory in the game as a head coach. The 61-year-old had previously won a ring with the Green Bay Packers as an assistant coach in 1997 and fell in the Super Bowl as the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2005.

Prior to Sunday's win, Reid owned the record for the most regular-season wins for an NFL coach without winning a championship.

As for LeBron James, the Lakers small forward has teamed up with superstar big man Anthony Davis in hopes of achieving what Andy Reid and the Chiefs just did: winning the last game of the season and lifting the trophy.

At 37-11, the Lakers own the top spot in the Western Conference and only trail the Milwaukee Bucks (42-7) for the best record in the NBA.

Even at the ripe age of 35 and in his 17th NBA season, James is playing basketball at an elite level. The four-time league MVP is averaging 25.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and a league-leading 10.7 assists per game while shooting 49.1 percent from the field and a 34.2 percent clip from beyond the arc.
