LeBron James and Kevin Love aren't teammates anymore, but that doesn't mean the two friends can't root for one another. James tweeted a congratulatory message to his former teammate following the news of Love's four-year extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers. James mentions in his emoji-laden tweet that Love has to take him out to eat now that he's secured the bag.

It's interesting to see that, at least on the outside, there's no bad blood between the former teammates after James decided to take his talents to Los Angeles.

Now, Love will attempt to fill James' shoes in Cleveland. Love is undoubtedly Cleveland's best player on the roster and his new contract extension solidifies that fact. It's unclear how the Cavs will perform without James, but Love should keep them in position to contend for the playoffs.

People forget just how productive Love was in Minnesota. In his six seasons with the Timberwolves, Love averaged 19.1 points and 12.2 rebounds. In his final season with Minnesota, the 6-foot-10 forward averaged an astounding 26.1 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. He even led the league in 2010-11 with 15.2 rebounds per contest.

Love has experience as the focal point of a team. He'll have the opportunity to do that again. He never advanced to the playoffs with the Timberwolves, but he'll have a much better chance at a playoff berth with the Cavs in a relatively watered down Eastern Conference.
