LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers has fired back at president Donald Trump, suggesting that the POTUS has too much time on his hands despite being the leader of a whole country.

As per Marisa Guthrie of The Hollywood Reporter, James fired back on Trump's earlier comments saying that James is dumb. James said it doesn't cause him to lose sleep at night.

“No, because I'm not,” he says. “That's like somebody saying I can't play ball. That doesn't bother me at all. What bothers me is that he has time to even do that. He has the most powerful job in the world. Like, you really got this much time that you can comment on me?”

The Lakers superstar seems to have taken up the notch when several people told him to just shut up, stop commenting on politics, and just play basketball. He took the comments personally, saying that he's more than just an athlete and therefore has a right in joining political debates and discussions.

For former ESPN host Jemele Hill, James has a choice to back off or use his voice. More than his impact on basketball, James cares about his impact outside of it:

“LeBron has realized that in this time, especially, you have to pick a side,” says former ESPN host Jemele Hill, who has had her own social media skirmishes with the president. “He could choose to stay disengaged. He doesn't have to put himself out there. But I think he cares about his legacy and his impact beyond what he achieves as an athlete.”

James is one of the leading athletes leading the tirade against the United States president. Perhaps, he's currently the most outspoken out there in the field of basketball.
