The Los Angeles Lakers may have lost Game 1 of their first-round series against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday, but the Purple and Gold faithful should not hit the panic button just yet. After all, they have LeBron James who has proven time and time again that he's built for such moments.

As noted by Stat Muse, including the lost against the Suns, LeBron has now lost six of his last nine Game 1s. However, it is worth noting that in the past five playoffs series where he lost the playoff opener, his team won four times.

The only series LeBron lost after giving up Game 1 was during the 2018 NBA Finals when the Golden State Warriors swept his Cleveland Cavaliers, 4-0.

Last season alone, during the Lakers' championship run, the team lost Game 1 of the opening round and the conference semifinals. However, LeBron James and Co. bounced back big time and won four straight games in both occasions.

Of course, it remains to be seen if the Lakers can replicate such success this time around, especially against a talented Suns team with two promising stars in Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton and a veteran leader in Chris Paul.

Not to mention that the Lakers lacked aggressiveness in the opening round, with Anthony Davis struggling and having one of the worst games of his playoff career.

However, if there is anything we have learned throughout LeBron's career, it is never to count out the King until the series is over. Just don't.
