Stephen A. Smith has always been known for his hot takes about anything and everything sports-related. On a recent episode of ESPN's First Take, the renowned broadcaster came out with arguably one of his biggest (and hottest) takes early in the NBA season. Unfortunately for Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, he's definitely not going to like what Stephen A. has to say here.

According to Smith, the Lakers have no chance of winning the title this year. He's all in on the Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors hype train which means that for him, LeBron's fourth career championship in 2020 is going to be his last (h/t First Take on Twitter):

Curry and the Warriors came out with a huge statement on Tuesday after they took down Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center. Curry dropped 39 points with nine triples as they made quick work of KD and Co. The game ended with a final score of 117-99, as the Warriors once again proved that they're not messing around this season.

This only strengthens Smith's case about the Warriors emerging as this year's Western Conference champions. ESPN's golden boy firmly believes that the Lakers, who themselves have been struggling mightily to start the season, will stand no chance against Curry and his Warriors come playoffs time.

I can only wonder what LeBron will think about all this.
