Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was in an understandably good mood on Friday following his team's impressive 95-80 victory against one of his former teams, the Miami Heat.

James was outstanding yet again for the Lakers, logging 25 points (on 10-of-19 shooting), four 3-pointers, four rebounds, and six assists, in 36 minutes played. The three-time NBA champ has been killing it for L.A. to start the new season, and when asked about his secret to success, LeBron had this to say:

The best part about this brief clip is the fact that James had a straight face when he blurted out his response. Obviously, the 34-year-old is clapping back at his critics here, who have labelled him as a washed out star at this point in his career. If LeBron's early season performances are any indication, then it does appear that he is out to prove his haters wrong yet again.

To be clear, James is not sipping a special type of wine, nor is he depending on alcohol as some form of performance booster. LeBron is just referencing the old saying about fine wine and its ability to age gracefully. As proven by his recent play, there is no question that the four-time MVP is aging as gracefully as one can.

Following Friday's win, LeBron James and company have now logged seven straight victories, as they hold the best record in the league at 7-1. At this point, all the hype surrounding this particular L.A. side seems to be very much warranted.
