Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James is reportedly having trouble recruiting stars to join him in Space Jam 2, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.

Filming of Space Jam 2 begins this summer. It's expected to be released in July of 2021.

In the first Space Jam movie, Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan got a handful of stars to join him in the film.

Jordan was able to get Charles Barkley, Muggsy Bogues, Patrick Ewing, Shawn Bradley, Larry Johnson, Larry Bird and Vlade Divac to make cameos.

LeBron James and the Lakers are missing the playoffs this season. It's the first time since his second year in the NBA James won't be playing in the postseason.

The Lakers will have cap space this summer to sign max-contract players. LeBron has said he's going to do his best to try to get superstars to play with him in Los Angeles. Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving, Kemba Walker and Jimmy Butler are the notable players who will become free agents this summer.

If The King can't get stars to join him in Space Jam 2, how is he supposed to get them to play with him on the Lakers? LeBron is one of the most popular players in the league. It's odd to hear he's having trouble getting his friends join him in what's supposed to be a fun movie.
