When he was a senior in high school in Akron, Ohio, Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James drove a Hummer H2.

That famous car is now going up for auction, according to Darren Rovell of ESPN.

The 2003 Hummer H2 will go up for auction by Goldin Auctions on Monday, and the car will be sold on Dec. 8.

Goldin Auctions president Ken Goldin said he feels the car is “definitely a six-figure piece.” The car was bought in 2013 for an undisclosed sum. It has been displayed at the Greater Cleveland Auction since.

There's going to be some die-hard LeBron James fan out there who is going to want to buy this car and won't be afraid to pay top dollar for it. You can't really blame that person either. A chance to own the exact car The King used to drive around is pretty special.

A custom sound system and TVs were installed by LeBron James in the car when he was a senior at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. James is still arguably the most heralded high school player in the history of sports.

James is in his first year with the Lakers. The four-time MVP is averaging 27.6 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7.2 assists while shooting 51.7 percent from the field, 35.4 percent from beyond the arc and 75.5 percent from the free-throw line.

The Lakers take on the Orlando Magic on Saturday. The team is looking for its fifth win in a row.
