The Los Angeles Lakers arrested their three-game losing skid on Sunday night. But things got ugly in their win over the Detroit Pistons, with LeBron James and Isaiah Stewart getting ejected for a scuffle in the third quarter.

LeBron getting tossed is a rare occurrence, as he has never been a guy who gets into fights. But perhaps the frustrating nature of the Lakers' topsy-turvy campaign got into his head and elbowed Stewart in the face during a rebound battle, causing a deep cut near the Pistons big man's right eye.

But after the game, LeBron's running mate Anthony Davis revealed what The King immediately said after the incident (via ESPN).

“Everyone in the league knows LeBron isn’t a dirty guy. As soon as he did it, he looked back and told him, ‘My bad.’”

Cameras caught an apologetic-looking LeBron talking to referees after the fracas, although it remains unclear what he was explaining to them. Whatever it was, it's hard not to disagree with Davis that LBJ isn't a dirty player. In fact, for what it's worth, he's been more of the target of extracurricular jostling from opposing players.

LeBron has also maintained friendly relationships with other guys, especially in the latter stages of his career, fully embracing his role as the face of the NBA.

Because of the nature of the hit, it's safe to assume that LeBron James could be suspended for at least one game. The Lakers will visit the New York Knicks on Tuesday.
