It's safe to say Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James just found a new motivation to play even better in the upcoming 2021-22 season.

LeBron surprisingly received zero votes in an ESPN poll asking scouts and NBA execs who the best player in the league is. Of course, it didn't sit well with the King and immediately blasted his haters on social media.

It didn't stop with a couple of social media posts, however, as LeBron continues to show his desire to prove his doubters wrong. On his Instagram stories, the Lakers forward even reposted an incredible stat about him that could very well be a warning to the rest of the NBA.

The said stat in question indicated how James went 177 straight games without taking 30 or more shots. After that, however, he exploded for 57 points on 34 field goals attempts while shooting  67.6 percent from the field.

LeBron added a shushing emoji on the post. Is he suggesting that he'll silence his haters with a big 2021-22 season ? Well, it certainly appears to be the case given that he has taken the poll as a sign of disrespect.

Lakers fans will surely be happy about the situation, though. After all, a highly motivated and hungry LeBron James could be the key to the Purple and Gold finally getting that banner no. 18 to hang inside Staples Center.

At 36 years old, it's nota surprise why some people don't consider LeBron as the best player in the NBA. However, getting no votes at all is simply overlooking the work he has done and the dominance he has shown every year.
