Brandon Ingram had the basketball world buzzing on Tuesday night after he led the New Orleans Pelicans to a very impressive Game 2 win over the Phoenix Suns. The former Lakers stud has definitely found his groove in New Orleans, which has led to some folks looking back on the 2019 trade with a bit of regret.

One of those is former Warriors center Festus Ezeli. The former Dubs champ recently took to Twitter to express how he feels about LeBron James and the Lakers sending Ingram to the Pelicans three years ago:

“I know Lakers won a bubble chip but Everytime i see Brandon Ingram hoop i can’t help but think how much of a mistake it was to trade him,” Ezeli wrote in his tweet.

Ingram was part of the blockbuster deal that saw Anthony Davis take his talents to Hollywood. The Lakers gave up quite a haul for AD, which also included Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, De'Andre Hunter, and no less than three first-round picks.

As Ezeli conceded, however, the trade immediately paid dividends for the Lakers. Davis helped the team win a championship in his first season in LA. Unfortunately, it has been a bit of a struggle for him since then, which has dudes like Festus Ezeli calling out the Lakers for this supposed “mistake.”
