Despite being one of the best players in the NBA today — and surely one of the all-time greats — Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James still has a vast appreciation for other sports aside from basketball. In a recent Instagram Live feed, the 35-year-old opened up about some his idols when it comes to the world of soccer and baseball.

For starters, LeBron gave a brief, yet very formidable list of his favorite soccer players.

James is a big-time Liverpool fan, as he actually owns a small part of the legendary club. Liverpool is leading the English Premier League race right now by a country mile, so we're pretty sure the Lakers forward couldn't be any happier about this. Similar to the NBA, though, the soccer season in the UK — as well as in most parts of Europe — have likewise been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

LeBron also revealed that he is a supporter of Paris Saint-Germain duo of Neymar Jr. and Kylian Mbappe — two of the brightest stars in the sport today. For the record, Mbappe, 21, is widely regarded as the soccer world's next generational talent. Another pair James idolizes is Cristiano Ronaldo of Juventus and Barcelona's Lionel Messi — arguably the two greatest soccer players of all time.

James then went on to share his extremely brief list of favorite baseball players.

As made obvious by his response, LeBron is a huge fan of Ken Griffey Jr., who like James, also entered the world of professional sports at a very young age. Griffey was selected first overall by the Seattle Mariners as an 18-year-old back in 1989, and while they play in two different sports, there's no denying that there are similarities to the careers of these two legends.
