The Los Angeles Lakers have been thriving this offseason. Not only were they able to lock in superstar LeBron James and a number of free agents to help the championship chase, but their NBA Summer League team is absolutely dominating in Las Vegas, Nevada.

James was in attendance for Sunday afternoon's Lakers game against the Detroit Pistons, cheering on the young team as they advanced to the semifinals on Monday night. After the game, however, James' Lakers' business in Las Vegas we not complete. According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, the three-time NBA Champion met with coach Luke Walton.

“He's about the team,” said Walton via Shelburne. “He's about doing things the right way and he's about winning. I can work with those qualities.”

Walton has never coached a player of LeBron James, caliber, although he was the interim head coach for the Golden State Warriors during the 2015-16 season when Steve Kerr took time away from the team to deal with his severe back issues.

It's great for Lakers fans to see that the chemistry between Walton and James is already off to a solid start, especially once it was reported that LeBron never spoke to coach Luke after making his decision to join the purple and gold. If the Lakers hope to win championships, that relationship is going to be a key moving forward.
