Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James is trying to help ex-felons in the state of Florida vote.

More Than A Vote, a group established by James and others, will donate $100,000 to help pay outstanding court debts of ex-felons so they can register to vote:

More Than A Vote is aimed at not just increasing African American voter registration and turnout, but also education and rights protection.

James was able to recruit other basketball stars to try to stir up African American voter engagement in swing states. The Lakers star got Golden State Warriors All-Star power forward Draymond Green in Michigan, Atlanta Hawks star point guard Trae Young in Atlanta and WNBA star Skylar Diggins-Smith in Phoenix.

More Than A Vote was launched in June. James has always used his platform to instill change in America, and that won't stop anytime soon. It's why many believe The King is the greatest role model of our generation.

Miami Heat veteran Udonis Haslem, who is part of this group, said “your right to vote shouldn’t depend upon whether or not you can pay to exercise it,” per Politico.com. Haslem and James were teammates on the Heat for four years and remain close friends.

Prior to the 2019-20 NBA season getting suspended in March, James was averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 10.6 assists in 60 games for the Lakers.
