Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James took to Instagram on Sunday to give a Mother's Day shoutout to his wife, Savannah James.

James thanked Savannah for all of her dedication and love in raising their three children, calling her a blessing in his life.

LeBron and Savannah first met in high school, though they did not actually tie the knot until 2013.

Savannah conceived their first child, Bronny Jr., during LeBron's rookie season in 2003. Their second son, Bryce, was born in 2007, and they welcomed their first daughter, Zhuri, in 2014.

The Lakers star certainly understands the importance of having a strong mother.

LeBron grew up without his father in his life. His mother, Gloria, had James when she was just 16, raising him essentially on her own in Akron, Ohio. Of course, LBJ overcame all odds to become one of the greatest basketball players in history.

LeBron also had a special Mother's Day message for his mom:

James is still playing at an incredibly high level on the hardwood for the Lakers, but he has also let his guard down when it comes to family life — particularly with the regular season shutting down due to the coronavirus pandemic.

LeBron has shared rather humorous details of what Savannah and the kids have been doing in quarantine, including Savannah's skills as a barber.

LeBron James has consistently embraced the human element of his celebrity in recent years, and that includes his relationship with Savannah and their three children.

James' positive demeanor and fun-loving nature also seem to serve as reminders that some things are bigger than basketball. The Lakers forward acknowledged as much on Sunday afternoon, giving Savannah her due props as a tremendous mother.
