It's no secret that LeBron James is one of the most decorated superstars in the history of the NBA. At this point in his career, anything that the Los Angeles Lakers superstar accomplishes down the road is just icing on the cake.

On Saturday's 125-120 win over the Golden State Warriors, James padded on his career resume by moving into the top-15 on the NBA's all-time three-pointers list.  The King surpassed Detroit Pistons legend Chauncey Billups and now has 1,831 career triples to his name.

James isn't really known for his three-point shooting. By no means is he a knock down shooter, but he does shoot at a pretty respectable clip at 34.4 percent for his career.

If anything, James moving up to as high as the top-15 is a testament to his longevity and ability to adapt for the evolving game of basketball, given that he started off his career as a rather suspect jump shooter.

James entered the contest with just a three-pointer shy of passing Billups. The King moved into solo 15th with a triple early in the fourth quarter to put the Lakers up by 14.

The three-time NBA champion finished the night with 22 points on 7-of-17 shooting, to go along with eight rebounds, 11 assists, and three three-pointers in total.

The Lakers were able to stave off a valiant comeback effort from the Warriors. Los Angeles led by as much as 21 points in the third quarter, but the Warriors posed a slight threat late in the fourth. Golden State cut the lead down to five with less than 40 seconds to go.

However, James drilled in the dagger, his third three of the night, on the left wing to put the game away. The shot was eerily reminiscent of the game-winning step-back triple he nailed against the Warriors when he was with the Miami Heat in 2014.

The Lakers notched their 39th win of the season and continue to hold down their spot as the top team in the Western Conference.
