For someone who wasn't deemed as much of a shooter when he first came into the league in 2003, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has done pretty well for himself from downtown.

The King moved up to 18th All-Time in career made three-pointers on Sunday, tallying his 1,788 in the Lakers' 101-96 win over the Atlanta Hawks at the State Farm Arena. James finished with 32 points, 14 rebounds, and seven assists and knocked in four of his ten attempts from past the arc.

James passed Rashard Lewis and is closing in on New Orleans Pelicans' sharpshooter JJ Reddick who currently holds the 17th spot with 1,790 made. He will also likely surpass injured Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson (who is out for the season) at the 16th spot with 1,798.

A career 34.4 percent shooter from distance, the now 34-year-old James has embraced the three-point line more and more in his 17th season in the league. He's been hoisting up 4.2 tries from downtown this year, while making 1.5 of those attempts.

After knocking in just 33.9 percent of his three-pointers in his injury-riddled first year in LA, LeBron has bumped up his efficiency from deep to 36.3 percent this year, while tallying MVP-worthy numbers of 25.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and a league-leading 10.8 assists per contest.

With plenty of games left for the Lakers in the 2019-20 regular season — not to mention a possible deep playoff run — LeBron can go as high as the 14th place currently occupied by Chauncey Billups who has 1,830 made threes. James will also likely pass former Laker Kobe Bryant (1,827) at the 15th place.
