Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is not a patient guy. The four-time MVP has always been a winner and demands excellence from his teammates.

That's why it was a shock to many when the four-time MVP signed with the Lakers in July. The roster is nowhere near ready to compete for a championship, and some pundits believe the Lakers might struggle to make the playoffs in the rugged Western Conference since LeBron James is surrounded by a lot of young guys and players who don't really fit well next to him.

After the Lakers defeated the Sacramento Kings on Saturday, LeBron admitted to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports he nearly cracked and that he had to remind himself about the bigger picture.

‪“I haven’t changed anything outwardly, but you know me. You know how I am. I almost cracked [last week]. I had to sit back and remind myself, ‘[Expletive], you knew what you were getting yourself into,’” James told Yahoo Sports while laughing after Saturday’s win in Sacramento. “This process has been good for me. I just have to continue being patient.”‬

The Lakers are 7-6 on the season and have won three-straight games since signing veteran center Tyson Chandler. They have wins over the Minnesota Timberwolves, Sacramento Kings and Atlanta Hawks.

LeBron James has been to eight-straight NBA Finals. That streak is going to come to an end this season. Like The Kings says, though, he knows what he got himself into when he signed with the Lakers. His patience is going to be tested throughout the season.
