The Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers face off on Christmas day, in what many view as the high profile matchup of the season. All fans want is for the game's two biggest stars, LeBron James and Kevin Durant, fully healthy for their epic showdown.

LeBron, who's been no stranger to the Lakers injury report the past couple of seasons himself, was asked about Kevin Durant and his recovery from the Achilles injury that threatened his return as one of the game's elite. But the question from ESPN reporter Dave McMenamin was phrased in a rather – unsettling manner.

“You've had some bad luck with injuries in the last couple of years. You've been able to push back to be the productive player that we're accustomed to seeing – but you haven't had a torn Achilles..”

LeBron James didn't let him finish the question before he started looking around for some wood to knock on. (6:16 mark)

“There's no damn wood here,” said the Lakers star. “Is that wood at the back of your computer? Is that wood on the back of there? Okay, s–t.”

“Sorry, NBA. No cursing, but after that question I have to … don't hit me with a severe injury.”

But once he gathered himself and found some wood to knock on, King James was nothing but complimentary of his longtime rival Kevin Durant.

Via Ohm Youngmisuk:

“There was never any doubt from myself or anybody in this league,” continued the Lakers star. “I heard there was only like really 1 group of people that had any doubt on him coming back full strength. Not going to name them.”

While both teams will be down several key contributors, the Lakers-Nets clash still promises to be one with high drama.
