Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James spoke about the tension-filled meeting of the NBA players following the controversial boycott in the NBA Playoffs last August.

LeBron appeared on the Road Trippin' Podcast, where he shared some details on what went down in the NBA Bubble after the Milwaukee Bucks decided not to show up for Game 5 of the first round duel with the Orlando Magic.

LBJ, who's widely recognized as the face of the NBA, acknowledged his responsibility. He noted that he was ready to walk away from it all, with the Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers voting to boycott the rest of the season entirely. But he also realized that not everyone necessarily carries the same opinion.

To recall, the Bucks decided not to show up for Game 5 in response to the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Other teams also scheduled to play that day followed suit, putting a scare that the season might come to a grinding halt.

But after the heated players meeting, LeBron smarted from his initial decision. He had insightful discussions with fellow veterans Chris Paul and Andre Iguodala, and had an enlightening phone call from former US President Barack Obama.

In the end, the players agreed to end the strike and struck a deal with team owners to shed more light on issues of social justice.

LeBron James continues to be one of the most outspoken athletes in the world and it's not just his teammates who follow his lead, but the rest of the NBA as well.
