ESPN's Stephen A. Smith wants to finally rid of the debate between who is better between Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and NFL icon Tom Brady. I know, I know – it's a tough ask to compare two great athletes who are currently dominating their respective sports right now.

But, Smith and his new co-host Michael Irving are up for the challenge. In a recent episode of ‘First Take', both Smith and Irvin once again butt heads in trying to figure out who is the greatest playmaker in all of sports. And, as much as Irving makes a case for Brady being the GOAT, Smith's take with regards to the Lakers star being better is too great to overlook.

“Right now, at this moment, in 18 seasons, LeBron James has 35,367 points. LeBron James has 9,696 assists. LeBron James has shot for his career 50.4% from the field,” Smith says. “So, when I tell you he doesn't just score. He assists, he runs an offense, he's one of, if not the greatest passer in the game right now. Would you look at all of that and his résumé and you're trying to tell me that Tom Brady is a greater playmaker than LeBron James?”

Again, it's hard to argue given that both have achieved so much in their respective fields. Brady is one of the best quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL with seven Super Bowl rings and five league MVP trophies under his belt.

But, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar also holds his own. James' greatness on and off the court has given him quite the clout and has people all over the world considering him one of the best athletes in the world, ever.
