Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James wrote a heartfelt message to his son, Bronny James, for his 16th birthday.

While LeBron and the Lakers have a big game later on Tuesday against the Miami Heat, the NBA star made sure to show his son some love on Instagram.

Bronny James is a sophomore at Sierra Canyon high school in Los Angeles. He's not in the bubble with LeBron at Walt Disney World, as the do-it-all star only has his wife with him since he deemed the bubble not child-friendly.

James and the Lakers will take on the Heat in Game 4 of the 2020 Finals on Tuesday evening. Los Angeles lost Game 3 behind a 40-point triple-double from Heat star Jimmy Butler, so you know LeBron and the Lakers are hungry to win Game 4 to make the series 3-1.

The King and the Lakers haven't lost two games in a row yet in the 2020 playoffs. The team has responded well after losing games in the bubble. Purple and Gold fans are certainly hoping that trend will continue in Game 4 of the Finals.

Through the first three games of the Finals, LeBron is averaging 27.7 points, 10.7 rebounds and 8.7 assists while shooting 55.2 percent from the field, 35.3 percent from beyond the arc and 65.0 percent from the free throw line. The three-time champion, though, had eight turnovers in the Lakers' Game 3 loss, so LeBron has to clean up that part of his game moving forward.
