Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has nothing but praise for Duke standout and consensus 2019 No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson.

James appeared on another episode of HBO's “The Shop,” and Zion became one of the talking points. On the clip released by HBO on Twitter, The King gave his insights on what he thinks about Williamson after his one season at Duke:

“I've watched him a lot over the last year … The one thing that I noticed with his one year at Duke, that his energy was infectious. Every possession it seemed like he could make a difference on the outcome of the game.”

James also added that Williamson is “the most talked about guy in a long time.”

Perhaps since 2003, Mr. James?

Zion Williamson has been drawing a lot of comparisons with LeBron James due to their unique skill sets and athletic ability. His size at 6-foot-8, 285 pounds matched with his agility on the court, his speed, and his insane jumping ability is unlike any other the NBA has ever seen. Moreover, many scouts have been enamored with the way he goes hard and lays it all on the line on every single possession, as James mentioned.

It's safe to say that Zion exceeded all the hype that surrounded him entering college with his outstanding one-and-done season at Duke. However, while many people out there love comparing these upcoming rookies to NBA stars of the present or the past, it might be unfair for Zion to compare him to someone as decorated and accomplished as the four-time MVP and three-time NBA champion.

Let's let Zion be Zion. I'm pretty sure James would be the first to say this, too.
