LeBron James is officially listed as questionable for the Los Angeles Lakers' Sunday showdown with the reeling Atlanta Hawks.

According to the NBA Injury Report, LeBron is dealing with a sore right elbow which he sustained during Friday's contest with the Miami Heat. LeBron hit his elbow on the floor after colliding with Jimmy Butler during the game's final play.

James has not missed a game so far this 2019-20 season and has started in all 26 contests for the team. The Lakers, with James and Anthony Davis leading the way, are currently atop the Western Conference and the NBA with a 23-3 record.

The 34-year-old superstar, who is on his 17th season in the league, is currently averaging 25.9 points, 7.1 rebounds and 10.8 assists while shooting 49.9 percent from the field, 36.3 percent from deep and 68.8 percent from the free throw line.

LeBron is on the MVP conversation once again, and the possibility of his absence will certainly leave a huge hole to fill for the rest of the Lakers. However, it won't be surprising if the team decides to sit him out and give him a much-needed break, especially after last year's Christmas day injury that sidelined LBJ for almost a quarter of the season.

It doesn't help the Lakers that Kyle Kuzma has been ruled out of the game as well.

The Hawks are hungry for victory after losing 14 of their last 16 games. Fortunately for the Lakers, whatever LeBron's status will be on Saturday, they still have Anthony Davis and a deep unit.
