The LeBron James and Rajon Rondo-less Los Angeles Lakers just came from a short but grueling road trip that saw them win against the Oklahoma City Thunder and lose against the Houston Rockets, both in overtime.

They return home to host the Golden State Warriors Monday night, and they are expected to be severely shorthanded.

LeBron James has been doing light training since injuring his groin in the third quarter of their Christmas day win against the Warriors. He's expected to participate in practice soon.

Meanwhile, Rajon Rondo has been cleared for all basketball-related activities and practiced with the Lakers prior to their game against the Rockets. However, he didn't play.

While the two veterans are expected to return anytime soon, the Lakers just announced that sophomore guard Lonzo Ball could miss four to eight weeks after the team found out that he suffered a Grade 3 ankle sprain in the team's loss against Houston.

While the Lakers are dealing with injuries to their key players, the Warriors are starting to play at full strength. DeMarcus Cousins made his season debut for the team in their win against the Clippers and was effective despite playing limited minutes.

Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope are expected to play point for the Lakers on Monday.
