After the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night, Lakers superstar LeBron James came across an 18-year-old photo of himself playing against good buddy Carmelo Anthony back in their high school days. LeBron found the image to be hilarious and could not help but take a bit of a friendly jab at Melo.

James shared the photo via his own Twitter account, complete with the not-so-veiled dig on Anthony's post-up game:

It has been nearly two decades since this epic image was snapped, and these two pretty much relived it on Saturday when LeBron's Lakers took on Anthony's Blazers in Game 3 of their first-round playoff matchup.

Anthony had his best outing of the series on Saturday, logging 20 points on 9-of-20 shooting to go along with six rebounds, two assists, four steals, and a block in 42 minutes of action. Despite Melo's awesome play, however, it was still LeBron and company who emerged victorious in this one, 116-108.

For his part, LeBron was tremendous for the Lakers, scoring a game-high 38 points on 11-of-18 shooting. He added 12 boards, eight assists, and two steals in a terrific all-around effort. James' heroics led to a crucial Lakers victory, with the team now up 2-1 in this best-of-seven series after dropping Game 1 in shocking fashion.

It's amazing how the careers of these two Hall of Famers have reached the heights that they have today. Their respective careers have run parallel with each other, and now that both of them are nearing the twilight of their tenured runs in the NBA, it's a bit of a come-full-circle moment.

Needless to say, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony are no longer the kids photographed above, and their time is almost up. We all better enjoy them while we still can.
