Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James took to Twitter to congratulate Los Angeles Rams star Jalen Ramsey on his monster new contract.

The Rams made Ramsey the highest-paid defensive back in NFL history by giving him a five-year extension worth a whopping $105 million, with over $71 million of that guaranteed.

So, the next time James and Ramsey are hanging out in Los Angeles, LeBron wants Ramsey to pick up the dinner and wine tab:

The Rams acquired Jalen Ramsey from the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2019. He appeared in nine games with L.A. and registered one interception and 33 tackles.

However, the Rams missed the playoffs after getting all the way to the Super Bowl in 2018. With that being said, Ramsey and Co. are motivated to get back to the postseason in 2020. The Rams open the season against the Dallas Cowboys to kick off Sunday Night Football on NBC.

As for LeBron James and the Lakers, the Purple and Gold are up 2-1 on the Houston Rockets in the second round of the playoffs at Walt Disney World. James has been a man on a mission in the postseason, as he's averaging 27.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and 9.0 assists for the Lakers while shooting 57.8 percent from the field, 40.8 percent from beyond the arc and 71.4 percent from the free-throw line.

LeBron James and the Lakers will look to take a commanding 3-1 lead over the Rockets in Game 4, which is on Thursday.
