Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James made sure to show his support to CJ McCollum after the Portland Trail Blazers guard was diagnosed with a collapsed lung.

McCollum has been ruled out indefinitely after the team revealed he has a pneumothorax (collapsed right lung). He sustained a rib injury during Saturday's game against the Boston Celtics, which forced him out of their contest against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.

Later on, a CT scan revealed the severity of his condition. The Blazers are expected to further evaluate him before confirming their next steps and return-to-play plan for the high-scoring guard.

After learning of the news, James took to Twitter to show some love to McCollum. The Lakers star also called McCollum his brother, as he shared he is praying for his speedy recovery.

CJ McCollum is the president of the NBA Players Association and he is widely liked around the league for his no-nonsense personality and leadership. Furthermore, he had been playing really well for the Blazers prior to his injury, which is why his absence is a huge blow to the team in its bid to make the NBA Playoffs.

Clearly, LeBron James has a close relationship with McCollum. And just like him, everyone in the NBA is hoping that McCollum's injury is not that serious and he'll be able to return to the hardcourt sooner rather than later.
