The Los Angeles Dodgers are through to the National League Championship Series! The Dodgers were able to escape the San Francisco Giants 2-1 in Game 5 of their Division Series, thanks in large part to Max Scherzer's heroics in the final inning. Shortly after the game, LeBron James, the star of the Los Angeles Lakers, took to Twitter to post his immediate reaction.

LeBron wasted no time congratulating his fellow LA athletes, even though his Lakers just came off a preseason game against the Sacramento Kings. Twitter users were quick to notice him and even chided the Laker star a little bit.

The Dodgers, who are the Lakers' neighbors in Los Angeles, have had to fight tooth and nail in the postseason in order to defend their title. They went down 1-2 in the series before rallying back in Game 4 to force a winner-takes-all Game 5. Game 5 was also another brutal fight to the death, as neither team gave up a run until the top of the sixth inning, when Corey Seager's hit allowed Mookie Betts to draw first blood.

It was immediately brought back to an even game, though, as Darin Ruf hit a home run in the bottom of the sixth. The game continued to be a close one, until the top of the ninth. There, Cody Bellinger, a hardcore fan of the Lakers' LeBron James, would come in clutch with a base hit that gave the Dodgers a 2-1 lead. From there, Scherzer sealed the deal, holding the Giants' hitters at bay to come out with the win.

It's a great day for Los Angeles fans today. Hopefully, the Dodgers' winning ways will rub off on the Lakers, who have been struggling in the pre-season despite their new acquisitions.
