The Los Angeles Lakers and Brooklyn Nets played an intense game on Tuesday night that contained plenty of highlights. Perhaps the best of the bunch was a nasty Jarret Allen block on a LeBron James dunk attempt, which can be seen below.

The block set social media on fire, as it's not every day that you see one of the best players in the world get blocked so emphatically. Usually, James finishes that play with a poster dunk.

When James was interviewed postgame and the block was brought up, it didn't seem like he was too enthusiastic to talk about it. In fact, he completely downplayed it;

While LeBron is right that Allen is a few years his junior and a reputable shot blocker, it would have been nice to see the King give the kid some credit. Very few people can say they've stuffed James at the rim as Allen did.

Allen had the last laugh twice, as the Nets ended up taking a close game from the Lakers by a score of 115-110. The center performed admirably, scoring six points, grabbing six boards, and swatting two shots.

Even though he ended up on the wrong end of the highlight reel, James led the Lakers with 36 points, 13 rebounds, and eights assists, but turned the ball over five times.

The Lakers and Nets have one more matchup on Mar 22nd in STAPLES Center, and you can bet that LeBron will be on the hunt to avenge the block.
