Sunday evening, Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James added yet another award to his already enormous collection.

James was named the BET (Black Entertainment Television Network Community) Sportsman of the Year.

Upon seeing the news, the Lakers star took to Twitter to react:

LeBron is not only the best player in the NBA, but he's arguably the best role model of this generation. The King has been in the spotlight since he was 15 and has handled fame and expectations better than most people imagined.

Moreover, LeBron has also helped build a school in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. It opened last year and numbers have shown that students are doing excellent with their studies.

Furthermore, LeBron is very vocal when it comes to social issues in our world. He has been very active on social media of late bringing injustices to light while supporting the Black Lives Matter movement. He's also leading the charge on a voting rights initiative involving a number of other athletes.

On the court, LeBron and the Lakers will be among the 22 teams partaking in the resumption of the 2019-20 season down in Orlando, Florida. The Lakers have the best record in the Western Conference and sit 5.5 games ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers in the standings.

All 22 teams participating in the “bubble” games will play eight seeding games before the 2020 playoffs start. LeBron and the Lakers will face the Clippers, Toronto Raptors, Utah Jazz, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Denver Nuggets and Sacramento Kings.

The Lakers and Clippers played each other three times before the season was suspended in March. The Clippers went 2-1 against LeBron James and the Lakers. However, James and the Purple and Gold won the last matchup. The two teams will face each other on July 30 to tip off the restart.
