Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James continues to add on his resume of records for the Purple and Gold.

Recently, James notched his 7th straight double-digit assist game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night. According to SportsCenter, this is reportedly the longest streak by a Laker since Magic Johnson did it in 1991.

The King's 23-point, 14-assist night helped lead the Lakers to a 130-127 victory over the Thunder.

The four-time MVP has been getting all sorts of records in his 17th season in the NBA. James also previously topped his former boss when he notched three straight triple-doubles earlier in the season, becoming the oldest Laker to accomplish that feat.

LeBron James has embraced the role of point-forward for the Lakers this season. The 34-year old currently leads the league in assists with 11.3 dimes per game. Likewise, this is a career-best for the 17 year veteran.

James only missed the double-digit assist mark three times out of a possible 15 this year. His season high is 16 assists, which happened in a massive showdown against 20-year old sensation Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks earlier this year.

LeBron definitely looks like he is on a mission to bounce back from missing the playoff last year and win championship no. 4 this season. The man also looks motivated to prove his naysayers wrong after they tagged him as “washed” entering the season.

To go with his league-leading assists, James is putting up nightly numbers of 24.9 points and 7.7 rebounds while shooting 48.6 percent from the field.

Under the leadership of James, the Lakers currently sit atop the league standings with a 13-2 record.
