While speaking to reporters on Saturday, Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James revealed he won't have a message on the back of his jersey.

James said “it was just something that didn't really seriously resonate” with his mission, although the Lakers star mentioned he supports others for doing so.

LeBron and the Lakers have the best record in the Western Conference standings and the second-best record overall in the NBA. Only the Milwaukee Bucks racked up more wins than the Purple and Gold before the season was suspended in March.

With LeBron and fellow superstar Anthony Davis leading the way, the Lakers are one of the favorites to win the 2020 championship at Disney World. The LakeShow will use the eight seeding games to knock off the rust after such a long layoff.

Prior to Rudy Gobert's positive COVID-19 test, LeBron was averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 10.6 assists for the Lakers. The King was also shooting 49.8 percent from the field, 34.9 percent from beyond the arc and 69.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The seeding games will have the Lakers taking on the Los Angeles Clippers, Toronto Raptors, Utah Jazz, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Denver Nuggets and Sacramento Kings.

Most NBA pundits believe the two Los Angeles teams will meet in the 2020 Western Conference Finals.
