Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is not getting any younger so he could be a bit forgiven for being mawkish lately.

The four-time MVP went on a nostalgic ride once again recently when he popped a video of Game 5 of the 2012 NBA Finals between the Miami Heat and the Oklahoma City Thunder while taking a break from his offseason workouts.

James has three NBA championships under his belt, but his title with the Heat six years ago is a special one for him. It was the first of his career, and the one that effectively prevented him from becoming part of a group of some of the game’s greats that retired without even winning a ring. It was also the first of his two titles in South Beach. That’s not to mention that it was the last time he defeated Kevin Durant in an NBA Finals series.

That Finals series with the Thunder washed away Miami’s disappointing loss to the Dallas Mavericks in the same stage a year before, and James played against Oklahoma City like a man on a mission.

James almost averaged a triple-double in that series, putting up 28.6 points, plucking down 10.2 rebounds, and dropping 7.4 dimes, while shooting 47.2 percent from deep in five games.

In Game 5, LeBron posted a triple-double of 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists in 44 minutes of action.

The Lakers are hoping that James will also bring a title to Los Angeles, the same way he did in his past two landing spots, though, this time around, Durant and the Golden State Warriors are the ones standing in the way of the future Hall of Famer and his new team.
