The Los Angeles Lakers have done a fantastic job in NBA free agency by adding pieces around LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The biggest acquisition of them all was Russell Westbrook, who will join forces with the Lakers in search of his very first NBA title.

To no one's surprise, Russ is already in the lab putting in work with LeBron as they look to make some noise in 2021-22.

As you can see in the background, Lakers shooting coach Phil Handy is also working with the two superstars. L.A. will have a very different look next season after shipping Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Montrezl Harrell to the Wizards, while Alex Caruso signed with the Bulls.

The Lakers brought in several veterans including Carmelo Anthony and Wayne Ellington, while also signing young guns Kendrick Nunn and Malik Monk. There have been doubts about the number of older players the team brought in, but with LeBron, AD, and Russ at the forefront, truly anything is possible. Westbrook's arrival will take the scoring and facilitating load off James, giving the Lakers another versatile offensive player who can do it all.

Melo, the only member of the Banana Boat crew who hasn't won a ring, will finally play with his longtime friend LeBron and will give Frank Vogel's squad more shooting. The Lakers now have their own Big 3. It's clear that the King and Russ are already working on building chemistry long before the season even begins.
