Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was one of the first NBA personalities to react to the recent news pertaining to award-winning hip-hop artist and producer Dr. Dre being rushed to the hospital due to brain aneurysm.

LeBron took to Instagram to send his well wishes for his “brother”:

Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Romelle Young, was recently placed under Intensive Care after suffering from brain aneurysm. The 55-year-old himself provided an update on his health via Instagram, where he revealed that he has now recovered and will be heading home soon.

The Beats founder has been a Lakers fan for quite some time now -long before LeBron joined the Purple and Gold. The acclaimed rapper even produced a moving tribute video for the late, great Kobe Bryant shortly after his passing in January of last year.

For his part, LeBron James is one of the most popular names in the sporting world, and he has been rubbing elbows with the biggest celebrities for decades. This includes Dr. Dre, whom the Lakers star has built a lasting personal relationship with through the years.

As for his basketball, James was on point yet again on Tuesday, leading the Lakers to a 94-92 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. The four-time MVP finished with 26 points on 11-of-20 shooting, to go along with one triple, 11 boards, seven assists, a steal and a block in 34 minutes of action.

It  was the Lakers' sixth win of the campaign, as the defending champs improve to 6-2 early in the season.
