LeBron James sent out a tweet on Sunday night. The Los Angeles Lakers star made a personal guarantee that things are going to change.

With the Lakers in free fall, King James took accountability and apologized for the season thus far.

LeBron James made true to his promise at least for one game as the Lakers pulled off a solid 101-95 victory over the Utah Jazz.

After the game, LeBron was asked about how he communicated that promise to his teammates. According to him, the sense of urgency his promise and apology brought didn't leave anything else to be said.

“I didn't say anything to the team,” said the Lakers star. “It's my accountability, own accountability for myself and for my teammates. I didn't say anything to the guys.”

There's zero doubt that LeBron's teammates saw the tweet. After the recent call-out from Lakers icon Magic Johnson and now the solemn vow made by LeBron himself, the team was clearly ready to channel all that external motivation into on-court play.

“Talk can be cheap at times,” LeBron continued. “You just gotta to out and have action and we did that tonight.”

The Lakers pulled off a quality victory against a playoff-bound Utah Jazz squad, something they've largely struggled to do this season. But the problem all year for LeBron James and Co. has been maintaining any success for longer stretches. A fire has once again been lit under the team, which hopefully stays on for good.
