Los Angeles Lakers star forward LeBron James has raised his voice about the ongoing scandal engulfing the MLB and the Houston Astros.

James, fresh off his All-Star Game victory as team captain in the NBA's annual event, shared his thoughts on social media on Tuesday afternoon. The Lakers forward sounded off against the “cheating” Astros, who defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2017 World Series.

In recent months, an investigation revealed Houston to be discreetly stealing signs from opposing players and relaying upcoming pitches to their teammates through a series of non-verbal messages.

“Listen,” James wrote on Twitter on Tuesday, “I know I don’t play baseball but I am in sports and I know if someone cheated me out of winning the title and I found out about it I would be f–king irate!”

With MLB's Spring Training in effect in Florida and Arizona ahead of the 2020 season, nearly every team and star players have been asked about their thoughts on the Astros' brewing scandal — one which has cost them their manager, AJ Hinch, and general manager Jeff Luhnow.

Players from New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge to Los Angeles Angels MVP centerfielder Mike Trout have condemned the actions of the Astros, who were found to illegally steal signs between the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

Cheating has long been a dark underbelly of sports across multiple leagues, and while LeBron James isn't known for his prowess on a baseball diamond, the Lakers star felt the need to speak up about the state of the MLB.

The league's commissioner, Rob Manfred, was under fire this week due to perceived weak comments and punishments he made about the matter, surely trying to lay the scandal to rest instead of stoking retaliation and further outrage. Count LeBron as somebody still outraged over the cheating scandal afflicting baseball.
