During a conference call with reporters on Saturday, Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James was asked if he's confident the NBA can pull off the “bubble” games in its entirety.

LeBron said he believes NBA commissioner Adam Silver “took all precautionary measures to make sure that we as a league are as safe as we can be.”

Former Lakers forward Brandon Ingram, who plays for the New Orleans Pelicans, recently told New Orleans reporters he’s not confident the NBA’s Orlando “bubble” plan is going to work. The state of Florida is a huge hotspot for the coronavirus right now, so it's easy to see why Ingram has his doubts.

Hopefully, no player, staffer or coach contracts COVID-19 at Disney World. Silver has previously said the “bubble” games will be shut down if there is a significant outbreak of COVID-19 at the Walt Disney Campus.

Prior to the NBA hiatus, LeBron James was averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 boards and 10.6 assists for the Lakers. The King, who was leading the NBA in assists per game for the first time in his career, was also shooting 49.8 percent from the floor, 34.9 percent from beyond the arc and 69.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The Lakers have the best record in the Western Conference. They will face the Los Angeles Clippers, Toronto Raptors, Jazz, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Denver Nuggets and Sacramento Kings in the eight seeding games before the 2020 playoffs begin.
