LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers entered the halftime break down by a dozen, 58-46 against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday. But two quarters later and they had completely turned the game around, cruising to a 114-93 win after a strong second half.

A huge part of their comeback was LeBron, who finished with a triple-double of 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in the victory, which was a rematch of last season’s Western Conference Finals. It is only The King’s second triple-double of the season but it was the 96th of his 18-year career.

LeBron continues to rewrite the history books in almost every game the Lakers play as he also moved up to third place in the all-time field goals made list, surpassing Wilt Chamberlain. The four-time MVP continued his strong start this season, as he has had at least 15 points, five rebounds, and five assists in each of their first 23 games, the longest streak in NBA history.

After the game, NBA on TNT analyst Reggie Miller also pointed out that LeBron has scored 62 percent of his career points with at least 25 markers, marveling at the four-time champion's “sustained greatness.”

The King, who leads the first returns of ballots for the NBA All-Star Game, however, said he is merely giving back to the game of basketball after receiving so much throughout his career.

The fact that LeBron continues to play well and remain in the MVP conversation in Year 18 is a remarkable feat that even legends like Miller find incredible.

LeBron James and the Lakers will continue to play at the Staples Center on Saturday, hosting the Detroit Pistons as they look to build on another great victory.
