LeBron James is still dominating at 36 years old for the Los Angeles Lakers, but he still remembers the shot that won him his second NBA title. While speaking about James' remarkable play this season, Ray Allen revealed that James and Erik Spoelstra still call him to thank him for hitting the clutch three-point shot in the 2013 NBA Finals.

“Oh yeah, they do. They definitely do. And I owe them a debt of gratitude for accepting me into the fold. They already had a championship environment, and to welcome me in to help them get to the next level, that's what true winners do. They always continue to find ways to win by any means necessary. They're always willing to learn and get better. There hasn't been a year that's gone by where either one of them hasn't mentioned 2013 to me. They're always grateful for my input.”

Back in 2013, the Miami Heat had a remarkable roster that was led by the trio of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh. In Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs, the Heat were facing elimination.

After a clutch three-point shot by James, Miami was down 94-92 with nearly 20 seconds remaining. Kawhi Leonard would then go to the free-throw line for San Antonio, making one of his free-throw attempts, leaving the door open for a game-tying shot.

LeBron James would then proceed to attempt the game-tying three, only for him to miss and Bosh to grab the offensive rebound. Bosh would find Ray Allen making his way to the corner and Allen would force the game into overtime with five seconds remaining as they were beginning to bring out the Larry O'Brien Trophy.

The Heat would win the series and James would win Finals MVP for his efforts against the Spurs. Despite Allen not being a prominent starter on Miami's roster that season, LeBron James realizes how big of a role he played in him winning one of his four NBA titles.
