The Los Angeles Lakers won at home against the Indiana Pacers, 104-96, in a game that saw LeBron James go in takeover mode. The four-time Most Valuable Player scored 38 points to go along with nine rebounds, seven assists, and two steals in 38 minutes of play.

Outside of James, though, there wasn't much contribution from his supporting cast, as far as the box score is concerned. After the contest, ClutchPoints' Ryan Ward caught up with the Lakers star who talked about the new dilemma he faces when taking over games.

“That's the challenge & things I've been kind of battling w since the season started. How much do I defer to some of our young guys to try & figure out & how much do I try to take over games? Tonight was one of those instances where they looked at me & they wanted me to close the game & I just tried to make plays both offensively & defensively.”

The Lakers boast of a young core that is as talented as they come. This offers a rare situation for LeBron James who's traditionally been surrounded by an experienced selection of teammates.

When he joined the Lakers, it's no secret that a ton of patience is necessary as he takes Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, and Josh Hart through the ropes.

Ingram was the second-leading scorer for the Lakers Thursday night with 14, followed by Hart who ended up with 13. Los Angeles returns to action Friday night to face the dangerous Dallas Mavericks.
