LeBron James may have a new look for the coming season. In a recent Instagram post, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar hinted that he might have a new style of headband for the coming season.

In the image, James is pictured wearing what is known as a head tie, which makes him look a bit like a Kung Fu warrior.

James, who will be wearing No. 6 this season, is no stranger to the headband game. Normally, though, he wears a simple elastic variant. However, there have also been stretches in which he has chosen to not wear any headgear at all.

James' teammate, Kyle Kuzma, seems to be on board with the revival of the headband.

Many experts feel that James plays better without a headband, and there is some proof to back that claim. While playing the San Antonio Spurs in the 2013 NBA Finals, his headband was accidentally knocked off. It was the fourth quarter, and he simply kept playing without his headgear, resulting in an outstanding performance (12 points, three rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block).

Headband or not, the Lakers will likely be a formidable team this season, as they have added several talented players to their roster, including Anthony Davis. Barring any unforeseen injuries, Los Angeles is a team that is projected to be a playoff contender.
