LeBron James had another massive career milestone on Wednesday night. The Los Angeles Lakers star surpassed Michael Jordan for fourth place on the all-time scoring list. He's now behind just Kobe Bryant, Karl Malone and Kareem Abdul-Jabaar

The Lakers lost the game, but James put in his usual work, dropping 31 points to go along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Los Angeles is now 6.5 games back from eighth place and need to make a massive push starting right now if they want to make the playoffs.

James wasted little time, thanking Jordan and everyone who supports him on his instagram on Thursday.

The post highlights the journey James has taken and a little bit about what Jordan means to him. He's talked in the past about Jordan. Unsurprisingly to anyone, he grew up idolizing his Airness and copying his moves.

It must be weird now, as there are kids all over the world who are doing exactly that, but to James instead.

The funny thing about this is the reality of it all. People argue over who the greatest of all-time is every chance they get. A lot of the times that turns into petty comments and someone discrediting the greatness of either LeBron James or Michael Jordan.

While so many people are doing that, these two have a mutual respect for one another and are able to appreciate each other's greatness.

James now has Bryant in his sights for third and it's very likely that he could become the all-time leading scoring in NBA history by the end of his career. It's getting hard for even the biggest of James detractors to deny just how good he is.
