Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has been selected as a member of the All-NBA third team. He is now tied with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kobe Bryant, and Tim Duncan for the most number of All-NBA team selections with 15.

This is the first time since 2008 that the four-time MVP did not make it to the All-NBA first team.

LeBron joined the Lakers last summer, signing a four-year fully guaranteed deal with the team. However, he failed to lead the Purple and Gold into the playoffs, and his groin injury weakened his chances of making the first team selection for the 11th straight year.

However, James was still one of the best all-around players last season, averaging 27.1 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 8.3 assists. He's also maintained his efficiency, shooting 51 percent from the field.

The Lakers will be looking to add another star in this summer's free agency in order to give LeBron some help. They also have enough assets to make a trade for one, especially since they have landed the fourth overall pick in last year's draft. However, it is unclear if any top-tier player will be interested in signing with the franchise, especially because of how dysfunctional they have looked like over the past month.

Still, LeBron remains committed to the team, and that's something that the Lakers can hold onto whether or not they land a top-tier talent this summer,

The Lakers still have one of the best players in the league, and James is hell-bent on bouncing back next season.
