The Los Angeles Lakers are already going to be without veteran point guard Rajon Rondo for the foreseeable future as he recovers from surgery on his right hand, so losing second-year guard Lonzo Ball for any extended period of time would be a disaster for the team, according to superstar small forward LeBron James.

Lonzo Ball sprained his ankle against the Denver Nuggets Tuesday, but returned to the game. The Lakers are saying Ball is day-to-day, but as we know, ankle sprains get worse on airplanes and swell up as the days go by.

LeBron James is hoping that Ball won't miss any time, as he understands the offense will suffer if the former No. 2 overall pick is out.

LeBron James and the Lakers got blown out by the Nuggets on Tuesday, losing by a final score of 117-85. James finished with just 14 points in 30 minutes of action. Ball played 18 minutes and scored seven points while dishing out two assists. LA has now lost two games in a row and is 11-9 on the season.

James is basically the Lakers' point guard since he initiates the offense a lot. If Lonzo Ball can't play Thursday against the Indiana Pacers, the four-time MVP will be handling the ball even more.
