LeBron James is still chasing Michael Jordan's status as the greatest basketball player of all-time — and he's still studying His Airness, too.

James narrowed the G.O.A.T. argument on Sunday by leading the Los Angeles Lakers to the franchise's 17th championship. The title marks LeBron's fourth in 10 Finals appearances, compared to Jordan's six rings in six tries with the Chicago Bulls.

Now home in L.A., the 35-year old superstar is already back working on his game — from his bed.

On Thursday, James posted images on his extremely active Instagram story showing him watching clips of Game 6 of the 1997 NBA Finals between the Bulls and Utah Jazz — seemingly from his bedroom — including the famous moment when Jordan passed to Steve Kerr for the game-winning jumper.

During an appearance on “The Bill Simmons Podcast” earlier this week, James' current Lakers teammate, Jared Dudley — who said he watched ESPN's “The Last Dance” docu-series alongside James — elaborated on LeBron's fandom for Jordan.

“I watched the Last Dance with Bron. LeBron’s a huge Jordan guy, we all know, we grew up watching him,” Dudley said. “The documentary, we watched it every Thursday, Saturday, we were watching it. The respect that LeBron has for Jordan is unmatched. … He just wants to be seen eye-to-eye.”

In 2017, after James passed Jordan to become the all-time leading scorer in playoff history, he spoke at length about Jordan's influence on his game:

“I wear the number [23] because of Mike. I think I fell in love with the game because of Mike, just seeing what he was able to accomplish…When you’re growing up and you’re seeing Michael Jordan, it’s almost like a god. So I didn’t ever believe I could be Mike. So I started to focus myself on other players and other people around my neighborhood, because I never thought you could get to a point where Mike was. So I think that helped shape my game.”
