OK, it's not an actual club, but an elite one nevertheless. After his memorable run in his first NBA Playoffs, Atlanta Hawks star guard Trae Young joined Los Angeles Lakers main man LeBron James as the only players to achieve a very specific feat.
Young averaged 28.8 points and 9.5 assists in 16 postseason games, duplicating LeBron's feat of averaging at least 28 points and nine assists in a single postseason run with at least 15 games played (via StatMuse).
The King achieved the feat in the 2018 NBA Playoffs, carrying the Cleveland Cavaliers all the way to the Last Dance. In easily one of his finest postseason runs, LeBron almost single-handedly led the Cavaliers, putting up a near triple-double of 34.0 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 9.0 assists.
It was LeBron's final year with the Cavaliers, which featured a mediocre core of Kevin Love, Kyle Korver, Jordan Clarkson, Tristan Thompson, and George Hill. Still, he led them to the NBA Finals before eventually losing to the Golden State Warriors.
The fleet-footed Young fell short in carrying the Hawks to the NBA Finals, but it could be argued that he even had a more inexperienced supporting cast than what LeBron had. With Young's heroics, the Hawks were just two wins away from advancing to the Last Dance despite not having a single All-Star this season.
Trae Young has proven time and again that he's a legitimate superstar. It's quite scary to think that he's only 22 years old, but he's already done what LeBron James did in his ultimate prime.
