All roads will lead to the Staples Center on Tuesday as the Los Angeles Lakers host the Golden State Warriors on opening night.

The two Western Conference contenders will renew their growing rivalry, particularly the head-to-head matchup between LeBron James and Stephen Curry. While the two superstars have grown friendlier over the past few years, there will be no love lost between them as they try to notch win no. 1.

The fact that the Lakers dealt the Warriors a crucial loss in the play-in tournament last season adds spice to the contest.

LeBron, however, won't be too happy as the Lakers could be deeply undermanned against the Warriors. According to the team's latest injury report, Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, and Talen Horton-Tucker will miss the game, while Kendrick Nunn and Malik Monk are still not assured to suit up (via Lakers reporter Ryan Ward).

This doesn't sound too good for the Lakers, who have the oldest roster in the league. LeBron, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, and Carmelo Anthony will have to play extended minutes right away, and going up against the equally revamped Warriors isn't exactly a walk in the park.

But given how excited LeBron and company are to return, it's safe to assume they won't mind the heavy minutes. Plus, Lakers coach Frank Vogel will sure be cautious, especially since LBJ and AD are coming off injuries.

LeBron has already dismissed the notion that the Lakers will struggle with their old lineup. Going up against Curry, Draymond Green, and the rest of the Warriors will surely be an early acid test.
